Here’s how to create the best listing for your item.

Adding photos

Capturing high-quality images of your item is crucial for attracting potential buyers on an online marketplace like PCIFIC. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to take appealing photos for your product listings:

  • Clean and Stage the Item: Start by cleaning your item thoroughly. Remove any dust, fingerprints, or imperfections. Choose a clean, clutter-free background and stage the item in a way that showcases its features.

  • Good Lighting is Key: Natural light works best. Place the item near a window, but avoid harsh sunlight that may create shadows. If shooting indoors, use soft, diffused lighting. Ensure that the entire item is well-lit to highlight its details.

  • Use a Quality Camera: While smartphones have advanced cameras, consider using a DSLR or a high-end smartphone camera for better control over settings. Ensure the lens is clean to avoid any blurriness.

  • Shoot from Multiple Angles: Capture the item from various angles to provide a comprehensive view. Include close-ups of any unique features, damages (if any), and the overall condition.

  • Show Scale and Dimensions: Include a reference object or provide measurements to give potential buyers a sense of the item's size. This is especially important for items like electronics or furniture.

  • Use Proper Composition: Frame your shots thoughtfully. Center the item in the frame, and ensure it takes up a significant portion of the photo. Pay attention to the background, and avoid distractions.

  • Highlight Details: If your item has specific details, textures, or intricate designs, capture close-up shots to emphasize these features. Buyers appreciate a clear understanding of what they are purchasing.

  • Shoot in High Resolution: Set your camera or smartphone to the highest resolution possible. This ensures that when buyers zoom in on the photos, they can still see clear details.

  • Editing (if necessary): Use photo editing tools to enhance your images. Adjust brightness, contrast, and sharpness to make the photos visually appealing. Be mindful not to misrepresent the item by overly editing its appearance.

  • Create a Consistent Look: If you're listing multiple items, maintain a consistent look for your photos. This helps establish a professional and cohesive storefront.

By following these steps, you'll be well on your way to creating eye-catching images that effectively showcase your items on PCIFIC or any online marketplace

Describing the item

Be sure to include as much info in your listing as possible. Shoppers want to know exactly what they’re purchasing. Telling a story about your item can help a shopper picture them-self buying it.

We ask that you don’t add a bunch of brand names and hashtags that aren’t associated with the item.

Being as truthful as possible will increase shoppers’ confidence in your listing.

The more accurate a listing is, the higher it will appear in search results.

Adding the details

Shoppers tend to search for specific brands. If you know the item’s brand, including this in your listing can get more eyes on your item.

On your listing page, you can also choose your item’s category for better search-ability. It’s also important to include the item’s accurate condition.

Setting a price

We recommend searching for similar items to get a good idea of how to price your item.

You can also receive offers from potential buyers for you to either accept or reject.

How to choose your shipping

When you list your item, we’ll ask for the size of the box you’re using and how much the complete package will weigh. This helps us suggest the best shipping label for you. It’s good to have an idea of the box you’re going to use to ship the item, but you don’t have to have it right away.

Then a variety of shipping options will be shown to you, don't worry you won't be paying the shipping this has been covered by the buyer and PCIFIC.

This makes selling on PCIFIC completely free!

Once it's sold a tracking number and shipping label will be generated on the order page (which is accessible on the top right under "orders") all you need to do is print the label, pack the listing and send it.

The tracking will update automatically and the buyer will get emails from the courier you have chosen to keep them updated. Once it has been delivered and confirmed you will be paid out via stripe.
